 FERS Sick Leave Credit - PASSED
FERS SICK LEAVE CREDIT PASSAGE -
The approved bill is on the way to President Obama
As many of you will recall, the NCBC has been actively working with FCCA and
the Federal Managers Association to obtain credit for sick leave balances
for court staff under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). A bill
is moving quickly through congress advocating this change.

Hurricane Relief
Thanks and appreciation is extended to all of you who were able
to contribute to the hurricane relief fund set up to assist court employees
who suffered losses as a result of Hurricane Ike. The National Conference
of Bankruptcy Clerks (NCBC), working with the Federal Court Clerks'
Association (FCCA) and the Federal Probation and Pretrial Officers
Association (FPPOA), was able to assist about 50 recipients.

WELCOME to NCBC
We are an independent organization founded in 1980 to serve the
professional needs of the then newly created position of Clerk of Court
for the United States Bankruptcy Courts.
The membership was later expanded to include deputy clerks with associate
memberships available to judges, other federal, state and local government
employees, and the private sector.
The NCBC is dedicated to represent the interest of the clerk's office
employees of United States Bankruptcy Courts. No other organization,
committee or tribunal has that mandate. The NCBC is the only independent
voice of clerks and deputy clerks. We are a private organization with only
bankruptcy clerks and deputy clerks as voting members.
